About us

We’re a well established, not-for-profit, community based preschool in Glenorie. We cater for 27 children per day from our youngest 2 year olds to those turning six and ready for school the following year. Having a small group ensures individual attention for each and every child.

We’ve been providing an early education service to the local community and surrounding areas since 1984. The preschool is managed by the Glenorie Preschool Kindergarten Association Inc, the board of which is made up of volunteer parents at the preschool. The board is responsible for the appointment of the Director of the service and contributes to the fundraising, and organisation of the service. At Glenorie Preschool we are very fortunate to have a well qualified, experienced and dedicated team of Educators on staff who's focus is the education and well being of the children.

Our educational program has a strong emphasis on play based learning. We believe that children learn best by having time to explore, experiment, create and interact with the world around them. These educational play experiences are extended through the attentive interactions of our Educators.

We’re open weekly Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6pm and open for 49 weeks of the year, when we take our three week break over Christmas. We are also an eligible centre for Child Care Subsidy (CCS) when applicable.
